Uhuru Kenyatta’s election as Kenyan president last month was nullified Friday by Kenya’s Supreme Court after finding irregularities in the election process. A new vote is to be held within 60 days. The court sided with opposition figures, including the defeated contender Raila Odinga, who had complained that the highly contentious vote had been marred by irregularities and raised questions about its fairness and transparency. They claimed that as many as seven million votes had been stolen.
