A senior officer in the IDF’s Cyber Security Division said Sunday, in a comment on Friday’s cyber ransomware attack on 150 countries, that the IDF and Israel had made preparations against a global assault of this kind. The military systems are protected and, in a national emergency the IDF stands ready to extend assistance to civilian firms, as it has in the past. “Our enemies have tried all possible methods of hacking our operational networks, but as far as we know none has succeeded as yet,” the officer added. He reported that the IDF is in the process of unifying all its information networks to facilitate their security
