A bomb blast hit a bus convoy waiting to enter Aleppo on Saturday, killing and wounding dozens of people after a population exchange deal between Syria's warring sides was delayed.
Thousands of evacuees from the Foua and Kefaya Shiite villages in Idlib had been stranded on the buses at the Rashidin transit point outside Aleppo since Friday when the blast hit them. They were waiting to enter the government-controlled city after being transported from their besieged villages in rebel-held Idlib province. A few miles away, Sunni rebels and residents wee waiting to be transported to Idlib under the agreed exchange program.
